Dance crew Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand

Friday night’s premiere of the highly-anticipated opening night of dance gurus Jabbawockeez “MUS.I.C.” show was a star-studded affair as celebrities from around the world showed up to see the show. The show, described as an audio-visual story of inspiration brought to life through the harmonization of sound and movement, premiered at the Hollywood Theatre at MGM Grand May 7 – 26 at 9:30 p.m. nightly.

Celebrities on hand to show support were music superstar Sean Paul, TV personality Wayne Brady, and famed athletes DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys and Jerome Williams of the New York Knicks. From the dance community, “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge Lil Mama and “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Mary Murphy were in attendance, as well as dance crews including Beat Freaks, Super Cr3w, and Quest Crew. Other celebrities including DJ Franzen, DJ Loczi, Boogaloo Shirmp, and Survivor winners and all-stars Richard Hatch, Tom Westman, Ethan Zohn, Jenna Morasca, Stephenie LaGross, and Big Tom Buchanan also came to for the show, pre-party at TABU Ultra-Lounge, and after-party at Studio 54.

Tickets are still available for the show, running through May 26 at 9:30pm nightly and priced at $59 and $49, not including applicable service charges and taxes, are on sale today at 11 a.m. and will be available at any MGM Grand box office outlet. Awarded the championship on MTV’s “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew,” the Jabbawockeez campaigned for Gatorade with their “G” campaign spawning TV ad’s with Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan. Additionally the group opened for the nationally televised NBA All-Star Game and performed with Shaquille O’Neal making national headlines. They have garnered millions of fans and been featured on numerous television shows including Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Regis & Kelly, The TODAY Show 2009 Summer Concert Series, E! News, America’s Next Top Model and MTV.
