FIX at the Bellagio

First opening its doors of 2004, FIX at the Belagio is the result of Light Management Group´s desire to reinvent the fine dining experience. Set in one of Las Vegas´ most prestigious properties, FIX has literally torn down the wall that once confined gourmet food to a pretentious and overbearing environment. FIX is located directly on the casino floor, and there are no walls or structural bounderies that separate the dining room from action. Almost exclusively comprised of Padouk wood found deep in the jungles of Costa Rica, the design firm Graft Lab of Berlin succeeded in realizing their vision of a restaurant with an inviting atmosphere that is as vibrant as it is serene.

Executive Chef Brian Massie has developed a menu that offers the finest in classic American cusine, simply prepared, yet bold enough to astonish even the most jaded critics. Nothing in his presentation has been sacrificed, and his dishes are as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as they are to the pallet. His choice of meats and fish is discriminating yet accessible, and although the menu is small it is direct and to the point. Chef Massie offers the finest cuts of meat cooked to perfection over a wood-burning grill, and the freshest sashimi and shellfish one could possibly find some three thousand mile from the Atlantic Ocean. No flavor has been overlooked, and as painful as it may be to say, even Yaya can´t make gnocchi taste this good.

Enjoy a glass of good Italian Chianti or indulge in a bottle of vintage Dom Perignon; the extensive wine list strikes a perfect balance between the conservative novice and the adveturous connoisseur. Whatever your wine FIX, you will certainly find it here. No good restaurant is complete without a high energy bar and relaxing lounge. FIX offers both. The entire place is cutting-edge even by Las Vegas standards, and it comes as no surprise that FIX became the place to be since it first hit the scene two years ago.

The food is exquisite, and the service impecable. The atmosphere is exciting, but perhaps most appealing of all... the girls. Yes, the girls are hot ! Whether you are a local or a tourist, next time you´re on the strip, stop by the Bellagio and get your FIX. Just don´t forget to tip your hot waitress.
