NHL Returns to Host its Annual Awards in Las Vegas
The National Hockey League will host its 2010 Awards in Las Vegas at The Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Hotel on June 23. The 2010 NHL Awards celebration will feature the League naming its top players for the regular season in a host of categories including, most valuable player, outstanding goaltender, outstanding defenseman and outstanding rookie. Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg will attend as a special presenter with performances by Shinedown, Snoop Dogg, Cirque du Soleil and Jersey Boys. Fremont Street Experience is Getting Groovy with "Summer of the ?70s"
The music and culture from the decade of the 1970s will return to downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the "Summer of the ?70s" festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion will kick off Memorial Day Weekend and run through Labor Day Weekend. To open the "Summer of the ?70s," Fremont Street Experience hosts disco diva Gloria Gaynor for Memorial Day Weekend on May 29 followed on June 5 by glam rockers Sweet during the Vegas Cruise car show weekend. The Little River Band will be featured on July 3, during the Fourth of July Weekend, Blue Oyster Cult will play August 14 and Jefferson Starship will rock Sept. 4 during Labor Day Weekend. Other summer activities include an Ultimate Elvis Weekend with Tribute Artist Contest and 10 weeks of tribute bands Tuesdays through Saturdays. Nu Sanctuary Brings Dining, Nightlife to Las Vegas
