Ravella at Lake Las Vegas, a Dolce Hotel & Resort, to Open February 11
Dolce Hotels & Resorts has announced that its resort scheduled to open Feb. 11, 2011, will be named Ravella at Lake Las Vegas. Located on the site of the former Ritz-Carlton® at Lake Las Vegas, Dolce will manage the re-branded resort. Guests of the former Ritz also will enjoy a much more contemporary experience, including a redesigned lobby envisioned to be a high-energy, social gathering spot at Ravella. New dining and spa concepts will complement offerings at The Village Lake Las Vegas, for which Ravella guests will have privileged access. Situated on the shores of the largest privately owned man-made lake in the United States, Ravella's name is based on the picturesque coastal town of Ravello in southern Italy and inspired by the word "revel," meaning 'to take great pleasure or delight.'"


Re-Imagined Stratosphere Elevates Guest Expectations
The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower announces the more than $20 million re-imagining of the iconic Las Vegas property. At the centerpiece of the renovations is the remodeling of 909 guestrooms, located on floors featuring upgraded elevator lobbies. The rooms are beautifully redesigned with guest comfort in mind. Each room has a flat screen TV, and an elegantly updated bathroom with granite countertops, new tile and tub. The hotel entrance has been overhauled to include valet parking directly off Las Vegas Boulevard and a sweeping indoor marble tile ramp that leads guests to a new VIP lounge, the hotel lobby, and the newly carpeted casino floor.


Silverton Casino Lodge Adds Seven New Suites to Property's Offerings
The Silverton Casino Lodge has added a new look and warmer feel to seven luxury king suites, increasing the suite count at the property by more than 50 percent for a total of 19 suites. The luxury suites are larger than the standard Silverton rooms, adding more size and a feeling of spaciousness. In addition to the increased comfort and luxury of the beds, the suites feature 42-inch flat screens, internet access and recessed lighting over the beds with individual side controls.


Caesars Entertainment Resorts Expand Dog-Friendly "PetStay" Program
Canines receive the VIP treatment when they travel to any Caesars Entertainment resort in Las Vegas. The initial launch of PetStay Las Vegas in October 2010 included customized hotel zones at Caesars Palace, Imperial Palace and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and has expanded to include Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Harrah's, Bally's and Flamingo Las Vegas-a total of eight resorts. As part of the PetStay Las Vegas program, guests and their pups receive an in-room amenity that includes dog treats, food and water dishes, and a pet mat. Canines on the go are also presented with a map of dog-walking routes, on-property designated relief areas and a variety of dog-friendly resources for pet walking, pet sitting, grooming services and veterinarian information.


MGM Resorts Launches 'Live the M Life' Sweepstakes
To celebrate the nationwide debut of its M Life loyalty program, MGM Resorts International is launching the Live the M Life Sweepstakes, an 11-week contest with once-in-a-lifetime prizes that offer a glimpse into M Life member benefits. Serving as the overarching consumer rewards brand for MGM Resorts' properties in Las Vegas, Mississippi and Detroit, M Life focuses on experiential rewards, leveraging a collection of amenities no other resort group can offer. SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas Announces Sushi + Sake 101 Classes
SUSHISAMBA will feature expert instruction in sushi making and sake tasting with SUSHI + SAKE 101 classes. SUSHI + SAKE 101 is a two-hour teaching and tasting program that includes sake-sampling, instruction in the art of sushi making, and a delectable meal of sashimi, tempura, anticuchos, sushi rolls participants help prepare, and more. SUSHISAMBA will host SUSHI + SAKE 101 every other Saturday. The class starts at 1 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.


The School of Pastry Design Opens in Las Vegas with Pastry Chef Chris Hanmer
Las Vegas is now home to a one-of-a-kind pastry school. The new hands-on experience will allow anyone to work alongside a world champion pastry chef to create colorful, edible, life-size pastry or chocolate art. The School of Pastry Design is the creation of celebrity chef and TV culinary artist Chris Hanmer, the youngest world pastry team champion ever, and one of the few such champions to come from the United States. The highly-creative, outgoing Hanmer is a former pastry chef for multiple AAA Five Diamond hotels, and he is a frequent face on the TV Food Network. One-on-one or group programs are available with the chef.


Blush Boutique at Wynn Las Vegas Introduces Nightlife Starter Kit
Every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to midnight, Begin at Blush at Wynn Las Vegas features eclectic music ranging from Sinatra to Kaskade and an exclusive specialty drink menu. It also marks the introduction of Las Vegas' first Nightlife Starter Kit. A Blush exclusive, it eases guests into the evening with a 200ML bottle of tequila, a 375ML bottle of vodka, Red Bull and Fiji water. Smaller format VIP bottle service is also available. There is no minimum or maximum number of guests or table reservations required for bottle service. Open seating is available on a first come basis.

Red Rock Resort Announces Saturday Night Concert Series
Beginning in February, Red Rock Resort will bring back the popular Saturday night concert series, Party on the Rocks, now starting at 9 p.m. in the Rocks Lounge. Serving up an amazing lineup of artists and bands, the concert series offers a guaranteed fun night out at an affordable price of $20 per person plus taxes and fees. Guests can enjoy a wide range of artists in the upcoming series, including well-known Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby and country rock legend Leon Russell. Tickets for many of the shows are already on sale.


Garth Brooks and 'Sinatra Dance With Me' Extend Las Vegas Shows
Country music legend Garth Brooks has announced he will extend his performances at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas through July 2011. Additionally, Wynn's new hit show, Sinatra Dance With Me, will be extended through April 2.


Tiesto in Concert Begins Residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Tiësto, known as the world's number one electronic DJ, has begun a residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on select dates through December 2011. Defending the Caveman Opens at Harrah's Las Vegas
"Defending the Caveman," the Broadway smash hit about the differences between the sexes, has announced its new home at The Improv at Harrah's Las Vegas. Originally opened at the San Francisco Improv in 1991, this new Las Vegas home allows the show to return to its Improv roots. Comedian Kevin Burke stars in the Las Vegas run of "Defending the Caveman." Burke was recently named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year for his work in "Defending the Caveman" and has performed the show for more than four years in Las Vegas.


Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Unveils First Gold To Go ATM
Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino has added an extra touch of gold by unveiling the first GOLD to go ATM in Las Vegas. Furthering the success of the famous hotel, the Golden Nugget is the second location in America to feature the Gold ATM. The first machine in North America debuted in Florida. The operational inauguration of the GOLD to go ATM vending machine will dispense 24-karat gold bars of various weights ranging between one and 250 grams. The vending machine also sells traditional gold coins and signature gold bars featuring the Golden Nugget logo.


One Giant Leap Announces World's First Indoor Ballooning Attraction
One Giant Leap, LLC, the innovator of the Parabounce ballooning technology, has announced the development of the world's first indoor ballooning attraction in Las Vegas - Parabounce Vegas - an air-inflated, 100,000 square foot "bubble style" dome where up to 20 flyers can simultaneously float, soar and bounce in individual, 22-foot, Parabounce helium balloons. Construction of the facility, on a location site adjacent to the Strip, is expected to commence in May 2011, and be completed by the end of the year.


Sin City Gallery to Stimulate the Naughtier Side of Art

MGM Resorts International Celebrates Chinese New Year
MGM Resorts International will celebrate Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit, with exhilarating lion dance performances, spectacular displays at Crystals at CityCenter and Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, as well as authentic cuisine at a variety of resort restaurants. Yau Kung Moon will perform traditional Chinese lion dances at MGM Grand, The Mirage, ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter and Bellagio. Yau Kung Moon is considered one of the best and most respected martial arts, dragon and lion dance organizations in the world with more than 3,000 members.


Wynn/Encore Participate in Lunar New Year 2011
Wynn and Encore will celebrate the Lunar New Year with special Chinese décor celebrating the year of the rabbit. Additionally, the properties will host a traditional Dragon and Lion Dance on Feb. 5. The Venetian and The Palazzo to Honor the Year of the Rabbit
The Venetian and The Palazzo will ring in Chinese New Year with an authentic dragon dance with firecrackers and festive decorations featuring a 16-foot, 1,000-pound animated rabbit in the atrium gardens of The Shoppes at The Palazzo. TAO Asian Bistro at The Venetian and ZINE at The Palazzo will offer special menus as well.



The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace to Celebrate Chinese New Year
To celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the year of the Rabbit, The Meadows School will perform the traditional dragon parade throughout The Forum Shops at Caesars on Feb. 3. The cast of singers and dancers includes 120 Meadows students - 60 from kindergarten and 60 from fifth grade plus the school's very special guests, founder Carolyn Goodman and her husband Mayor Oscar Goodman.

Rampart Casino will host the Big Game Super Party on Sunday, February 6.
